I am going to make a bold statement. There is no better way to burn body fat than to perform body weight exercises. I firmly believe this from personal experience and from the results of those who have dedicated themselves to bodyweight exercises. Is it any wonder that some of the most fit individuals in the world (our U.S. military) primarily use body weight exercises to achieve their fitness level.

I have a health club membership (although I am not sure why other than it gives me someplace warm to perform certain exercises in the winter) and I watch in amazement how people can show up week after week and never lose fat. It is kind of sad. They are paying their money faithfully and they get on the treadmill or elliptical machine and go through the ritual. But at the end of the week when they step on the scale the numbers are all too familiar. It is no wonder that they give up after a couple of months.

If this has been you, I am here to tell you that it does not have to be that way. You do not have to train with weights and you do not have to do cardio for an hour a day for seven days a week. You do not have to spend $40 per month on a health club membership. You do not have to embarrass yourself by stepping on some goofy BOSU ball.

You are frustrated and you are not sure where to turn. If you have trainers at your gym like I do at mine you probably don’t want to ask them because it is quite obvious that they haven’t practiced what they preach. They are not exactly the image of thriving fitness and you surely don’t want to pay them extra for their “expertise.”

Maybe you are like me and your body is now suffering the effects of weight lifting and your joints are no longer capable of lifting heavy weights. Or possibly you have tried every fad diet known to humankind and you still are disgusted every time you look in the mirror.

You have tried everything else now why don’t you try what actually works. Instead of going to out-of-shape “personal trainers” at your gym why not lean on the expertise of someone who has been in the fitness industry for 30 years. And by the way, he has the physique of someone who has been in the fitness industry for 30 years (lean and mean).

Emile Jarreau has created the Naked Commando System of exercises that you can do at home, in the park, behind closed doors in your office, or even in your hotel room while you travel. If you want to see fat begin to melt away with as little as 3 intense workouts per week then this is the program for you. You will build strength, increase endurance, increase your metabolism and improve your heart with his time-efficient circuit workouts.

You will avoid boredom in your workouts as he keeps it spiced up with 69 challenging and dynamic body weight exercises. Your stamina will increase, you will begin to understand the meaning of the word slim again and you will cut a major chunk of stress out of your life.

He will provide you with complete fat burning workouts with instructions, pictures and everything you will need to be successful. And you can get all of this for less than what you are paying for one month at a health club. I could describe it in detail for you but he does it so much better. So click on over to learn more about Naked Commando System.

Ive been a strength and coniditioning coach for over 10 years now working with athletes and fitness enthusiasts of all levels. Over those ten years Ive used just about every new type of training and exercise under the sun.

With this type of expirience you really start to understand what works and what doesn’t.

Ufornutantley, many of the exercises that really don’t work are the very same ones that the health and fitness magazines are promoting and making popular. This ends up sending many eager exercises down the wrong path

The other isssue is that many less expirenced fitness instructors are also following the magazines and using these same un-effective exercises on a regular basis with clients who are spending their hard on money on something that they hoped they couldn’t get on their own.

My goal with this article is to show you why one f the most poplar exercise specialy amoungst women, the kneeling push, is pretty much a watse of time.

In addition, I will provide you with a much better alternative push up exercsise fro those who cant do regular push ups. This alternative is mouch more effective at building muscle definition and strength while burning more calories.

No More Kneeling Push Ups

My issue with the kneeling push up has nothing to do with mechanics or safety, in that respect the movement is okay. My issue is one of progression, or in this case, a lack there of.

In the past, I have used the kneeling push up as a regression strategy. I did this in the hopes that it had some progression potential and would eventually lead into normal push-ups

Unfortunately, I have found little to no carry over from the kneeling push –up to the regular push-up.

I can’t tell you why the kneeling push-up doesn’t carryover, it could be lever arm length, it could the angle difference, I really don’t know, it just doesn’t.

What I can tell you is that I have seen 100’s of people who could bang out endless reps of kneeling push-ups but still couldn’t even come close to performing a single regular push-up.

The kneeling push up is what I call a “dead end” exercise. Keep doing them and you will go nowhere!

Luckily, we have found a much better regression / progression strategy.

Incline push-ups

An incline push up is performed basically like the traditional style push up except you hold onto a object like a racked barbbell in the gym or the side of your bed if your at home.

The concept here is pretty simple, because you are at an incline there’s less force on the moving muscles and torso stabilizers. Which intern makes the push-up easier?

The best place to do this is on a smith machine because it’s easy to adjust and keep track of the bar depth from session to session.

Once someone can perform 20 quality reps at one height, we simply lower the bar one or two pegs. The lower the bar gets the harder the push up becomes.

As I said earlier, just because someone can easily perform kneeling push-ups doesn’t necessarily mean that they can do any real push-ups.

However, I can promise you from years of experience that if someone can perform 20 reps at a low bar setting; they can definitely bang out a few good reps from the floor.

In the end, this means that your getting stronger. If you’re stronger than you have more muscle. Because muscle is the shape of your body, you will most definitely look better.

By: Nick Tumminello

About the Author:

Everyone wants a healthy, good-looking body. And the truth is, you’ll have to work hard in order to achieve this.

That starts with using the proper equipment, having a good diet, and a healthy way of living.

To get the most muscle growth possible, you want to use the best muscle building exercises in the gym. If you want to build muscle, you’re going to have to lift heavy weight using effective weight lifting exercises.

There’s no getting around this. If you want to build muscle, you will need to apply the appropriate amount of resistance to your muscle.

You’ll need to use simple compound movements. Compound movements are weight training exercises that use more than one muscle group to complete a lift. Free weights are dumbbells and barbells.

By using these effective muscle building exercises, free weights and compound movements, you force your body to work harder.

By forcing your body to work harder, you add more stress to the targeted and supporting muscles.

Remember to use proper form when lifting weight, especially heavy weight. Lifting heavy weight for the sake of lifting heavy will result in poor form, which will lead to injuries. You don’t want injuries.

If you’re a beginner, it’s best if you use a combination of free weights, machines and body weight exercises. In order to lift heavy, you need to establish the correct form and balance.

This takes time, practice and patience. Once you’ve established the correct form and balance, try adding more weight lifting exercises, especially free weight exercises.

If you’re having trouble or not sure about certain weight lifting exercises, always ask for advice. Never attempt an exercise you’re not sure about. Ask a gym employee for advice.

If you can’t find a gym employee, ask one of the regulars. The regulars are usually more than happy to provide some guidance and help when it comes to muscle building exercise.

Before going into a heavy weight lifting workout, make sure you’re properly warmed up. Never attempt to lift heavy weights when you’re cold. Lifting heavy weight when you are cold will result in injuries.

Always remember to include a warm up (5 to 10 minutes) using an aerobic activity, followed by 5 to 10 minutes of stretching in your weight lifting exercise routine.

Here is a series of muscle building exercises that you could use for the chest area:

Flat Bench press Flat bench press with dumbbells Flat bench dumbbell flyes Incline bench press Incline dumbbell press Parallel bar dips Decline dumbbell bench press Incline dumbbell flyes

Muscle building exercises for back:

Bent over rowing Wide grip chins Lat machine pull downs Low cable pulley rows One arm dumbbell rows Dead lifts Shrugs Good mornings Hyperextensions T bar rowing

Exercises for hamstrings:

Lying leg curls Stiff legged dead lifts

Exercises for shoulders:

Press behind the neck Seated dumbbell press Side lateral raises

Muscle building exercises for calves:

Standing calf raises Seated calf raises Leg press calf extensions Standing one legged calf raises

Exercises for biceps:

Standing barbell curls Seated alternate dumbbell curls Incline dumbbell curl Standing dumbbell curls

Exercises for quadriceps:

Squats Leg press Leg extensions Hack squats

Muscle building exercises for triceps:

Close grip bench press Lying triceps extensions Standing cable press downs Seated over head barbell extensions Triceps bench dips Overhead rope extensions

Exercises for abs: Crunches Knee ups Hanging leg raise Incline knee raises Incline sit-ups Roman chair sit ups

That was a list of the best muscle building exercises you should use in the gym. Always remember to use proper form on each exercise.

If you have any questions on how to perform one of these muscle building exercises, ask advice from someone who is experimented in s and than try to experiment through trial them. You don’t want to use trial and error, since you could harm yourself.

By: Shawn Lebrun

About the Author:

Bodybuilders share two goals; stronger and more clearly defined muscles. The ways in which they choose to go about achieving those goals, however, can be extremely varied. Their body building exercises will be as effective in getting them there as the amount of neuromuscular stimulation those exercises create.

The very best body building exercises are those in which the largest numbers of nerves are communicating with the largest numbers of muscle fibers to enable the bodybuilder to lift a weight. A leg press, while a great muscle building exercise, is less effective than a free weight leg squat. Why?

Neuromuscular Stimulation

A free weight leg squat requires you both to control you own body as you move up and down, and to control and balance the weight. You are creating neuromuscular stimulation in almost every part of your body.

A leg press, on the other hand, does not force you to balance the weight, and all the core muscles which are involved in a free weight leg squat can take it more or less easy.

Body building exercises which involve more than one or two sets of muscles will be giving you increased neuromuscular stimulation; kettleball exercises are perfect examples. Because a kettleball is an off-center weight, your entire body, including your core muscles, has to work to maintain your balance while you are controlling the kettleball. None of your muscles remain static.

Rules For A successful Workout

There are also some rules which most good bodybuilders follow when doing their body building exercises. Their workouts normally last between forty-five and seventy-five minutes, with an hour the preferred duration. Anyone who continues past seventy-five minutes is likely to experience a drop in his or her muscle building hormones, and further effort will not only do little good, it will extend recuperation time.

Experienced bodybuilders will also rest for less than ninety seconds between sets of body building exercises, and the less time they rest, the more effective their workout will be. A workout with less time spent resting means a workout with more time spent on body building exercises, and more cardiovascular benefits. For more info see http://www.bigbodybuildingtips.com/Body_Building_Supplements on Body Building Supplements.

Body building exercises should be varied from workout to workout; it’s the only way to stave off boredom. If you give one part of your body a thorough workout one day, concentrate on another part in your next workout. That way all your muscle groups will be getting both plenty of work, and plenty of time to regenerate muscle.

By: Wade Robins

About the Author:

It has been quite awhile since I have made a post. I apologize for that but sometimes life gets busy. However, I have avidly been performing my body weight exercises and have been hitting the treadmill and elliptical machines. I cannot tell you how much I despise doing cardio but for me it is a necessity. I am too much of a wimp to work out in my cold garage so I joined a health club. It allows me to get a cardio workout and gives me a warm place to my pull-ups, etc without freezing my backside off.

My daughter takes a cardio class on Wednesday nights. I usually finish my workout before she is done so I sit down and read through a few of the magazines. Last week I flipped through a Muscle and Fitness magazine and two days ago I looked through a Men’s Health (I think) magazine. Each magazine has an article or more on body weight exercise routines.

The article I read two days ago broke up his routine into 5 different group of exercises containing 3 – 5 exercises each. He then randomly chose an exercise from each group and performed them without rest until he had completed the five chosen exercises. That constituted one round. He then rested two minutes and then performed 2 more rounds.

This gives good flexibility to your routines. There is a tendency to perform the same exercise routine over and over. When you do this your routine get boring and your body adapts. By choosing different exercises each time you keep your body off balance and keep yourself interested.

The article that I read in Muscle and Fitness discussed a body weight workout with plyometric training, sledgehammer training and the like. I almost fell out of my chair as I read it. What has the world come to when M & F includes an exercise routine that is more athletic in nature and doesn’t involve a 280 pound giant throwing plates of iron around the gym. It was good to see that even they are beginning to acknowledge the benefit of body weight training.

Well, I will try not to let it be too long between my next post. Actually, I have a review of an inexpensive product that I want to do. I will try to get to that in the next couple of day. Until then, stay healthy.
