Most women who become pregnant let themselves go only to regret the consequences later on. You can be active and fit with a good understanding of how to go about exercise but when it comes to pregnancy, your current workouts won’t suffice. That’s why you need to become better educated to avoid stacking on the pounds in all the wrong places and to pave the way for an easy labour.

Firstly, you need to understand your body type. There are four basic body types and designing a suitable exercise program requires an understanding of your body structure. What may be appropriate for one person may not be appropriate for another. Proper body diagnosis is essential to understand and consider when designing a pregnancy fitness program.

Pregnant or not, exercise helps keep the heart, bones, and mind healthy. Staying active also seems to give some special added paybacks for pregnant women.

Here are some exercises that you can do during pregnancy?

Do some light sit ups. Nothing too strenuous here, but perhaps rest your legs on a chair and try bringing your head up off the floor a few inches.

Yoga is a fantastic form of exercise that is very low impact and helps in stretching muscles.

Another good exercise is swimming. The water gives you the ability to move around and work nearly all of your muscle groups, while at the same time it helps in keeping you balanced.

Walking is another good pregnancy exercise for more than one reason. Sure, it gives you some much needed exercise, but it also gets you out of the house and clears your head so to speak.

Do consider your diet during pregnancy. It is important to eat enough of the right foods, however it is all to easy to over-eat!

Lastly, you need to know which specific core exercises to make your labour easier and proven ways to prevent sagging *******. Take a preventative attitude will not only make you look and feel better it will also help you avoid the common pitfalls that befall most women during pregnancy.

Pregnant women who exercise seem to have better self-esteem and a lower risk of depression and anxiety.

By: herbalremedies

About the Author:

Ive been a strength and coniditioning coach for over 10 years now working with athletes and fitness enthusiasts of all levels. Over those ten years Ive used just about every new type of training and exercise under the sun.

With this type of expirience you really start to understand what works and what doesn’t.

Ufornutantley, many of the exercises that really don’t work are the very same ones that the health and fitness magazines are promoting and making popular. This ends up sending many eager exercises down the wrong path

The other isssue is that many less expirenced fitness instructors are also following the magazines and using these same un-effective exercises on a regular basis with clients who are spending their hard on money on something that they hoped they couldn’t get on their own.

My goal with this article is to show you why one f the most poplar exercise specialy amoungst women, the kneeling push, is pretty much a watse of time.

In addition, I will provide you with a much better alternative push up exercsise fro those who cant do regular push ups. This alternative is mouch more effective at building muscle definition and strength while burning more calories.

No More Kneeling Push Ups

My issue with the kneeling push up has nothing to do with mechanics or safety, in that respect the movement is okay. My issue is one of progression, or in this case, a lack there of.

In the past, I have used the kneeling push up as a regression strategy. I did this in the hopes that it had some progression potential and would eventually lead into normal push-ups

Unfortunately, I have found little to no carry over from the kneeling push –up to the regular push-up.

I can’t tell you why the kneeling push-up doesn’t carryover, it could be lever arm length, it could the angle difference, I really don’t know, it just doesn’t.

What I can tell you is that I have seen 100’s of people who could bang out endless reps of kneeling push-ups but still couldn’t even come close to performing a single regular push-up.

The kneeling push up is what I call a “dead end” exercise. Keep doing them and you will go nowhere!

Luckily, we have found a much better regression / progression strategy.

Incline push-ups

An incline push up is performed basically like the traditional style push up except you hold onto a object like a racked barbbell in the gym or the side of your bed if your at home.

The concept here is pretty simple, because you are at an incline there’s less force on the moving muscles and torso stabilizers. Which intern makes the push-up easier?

The best place to do this is on a smith machine because it’s easy to adjust and keep track of the bar depth from session to session.

Once someone can perform 20 quality reps at one height, we simply lower the bar one or two pegs. The lower the bar gets the harder the push up becomes.

As I said earlier, just because someone can easily perform kneeling push-ups doesn’t necessarily mean that they can do any real push-ups.

However, I can promise you from years of experience that if someone can perform 20 reps at a low bar setting; they can definitely bang out a few good reps from the floor.

In the end, this means that your getting stronger. If you’re stronger than you have more muscle. Because muscle is the shape of your body, you will most definitely look better.

By: Nick Tumminello

About the Author:

All beautiful women, regardless of who finds them beautiful, represent values. Specifically they represent the values of those who find them beautiful. If you value health, you will find a woman with clear skin more beautiful than one with blemishes.

Female Beauty

Female beauty is the only thing I can think of that is news worthy every single day. Beauty matters, it’s ridiculously idealistic to pretend it doesn’t, and, in my opinion, a waste of time to debate whether or not it should matter. While it is true that there are very minor variations in what we find attractive in a woman, in general we find the same women are attractive, so the trick in a quest for an objective definition of female beauty is not to look at the differences but at the similarities in what we all find attractive.

Ideal Body Weight

Women are aware that an ideal body weight and proper nutrition provide them with the energy they require in order to stay vibrant and healthy. An ideal body weight is really a range that is within the boundaries of good health. Staying 5-10% below ideal body weight is a good target for anti-aging weight. The ideal body weight is calculated based on height and varies slightly for men and women. Remember, maintaining ideal body weight is one of the best approaches to reducing the risk of many cancers. Being more than 25% above your Ideal Body Weight is linked with increased risk of health problems, disease and death.

Because it involves factors that are both objective (like your health risks) and subjective (like your personal satisfaction with your appearance), your ideal body weight is much more than a number on the scale: it’s more like a state of being. Ideal body weight is simply what your weight becomes when you exercise regularly and eat smaller (reasonable) portions of healthy food. Ideal body weight is different for each individual depending on health, age, metabolism, body fat, muscle tone as well as other factors. One common measure to determine ideal body weight is body mass index (BMI), which is a ratio of height and weight multiplied by a factor.

Diet

Dieting and exercise are the only methods to get to your goals and they need to become your new lifestyle if you’re going to sustain the body you want. Maintaining ideal weight is best achieved with diet and activity combined; increasing activity while decreasing food intake. Eating a healthy diet and obtaining regular exercise can be a big part of helping you achieve your goals, whether they are physical fitness, weight loss, or hormonal/fertility improvement. Evidence suggests that eating a plant-based diet, being physically active and maintaining an ideal body weight can reduce the incidence of the most common forms of cancer by up to 40%. The use of appetite suppressant medications to treat obesity should be combined with physical activity and improved diet to lose and maintain weight successfully over the long term.

Physical Fitness

Women who have not exercised in years can bring themselves back into a physical condition that they will not believe. According to the American College of Sports Medicine, physical activity of less than 2 times a week at less than 60% of the maximum heart rate, and for less than 10 minutes per day, does not help in developing and maintaining fitness. However, the actual amount of physical activity you need depends on your individual fitness goals, whether you are trying to lose weight, and how fit you currently are.

Fitness weight loss is an option that is more palatable than only decreasing calorie intake, especially by people who are searching for natural weight loss options. The basic approach to fitness weight loss is to burn more calories than you consume but sometimes whatever you do, it does not seem to be working. The key to fitness weight loss is a sensible and nutritious eating plan, where the type of food you eat is tailored to give you all the nutrients your body needs, and where the amount of food you consume is actually reduced and limited.

Conclusion

For maintenance of desirable body weight, a maintenance level of calories along with physical activity is recommended to preserve lean body mass and muscle tone. An evaluation by an exercise physiologist is helpful to avoid injuries that can occur if physical activity is initiated without much consideration given to the type, duration of physical activity, and the physical condition of the person. If physical activity is discontinued, the fitness benefits are completely lost.

By: Paul Rodgers

About the Author:
